Son of Thomas Beach of Ft. Collins, CO.
This soldier was originally buried in Italy, but was returned to the U.S. and buried here in July of 1921.

George Beach was born in Fort Collins in the summer of 1892. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1910 as the Senior Class President and was considered a brilliant student. After graduation Beach enrolled in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1914. After the outbreak of World War I, he enlisted in the aviation section of the Signal Corps of the U.S. Army. Beach was killed in a mid-air collision in Foggia, Italy, becoming the first Fort Collins man to die in service during the war. He was 24 years old.
