Gerardo Rendon Angeles was born on December 9, 1942, in San Quintin, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Juan Angeles and Romana Rendon. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1965 and served until his retirement, attaining the rank of Ship's Serviceman First Class (SH1). During his naval career, he completed a one-year deployment to Vietnam, where he served in support of the Navy's Seabee operations. Throughout his years of service, he was dedicated to supporting fellow Sailors and contributing to the Navy's mission both at sea and ashore. He passed away on March 3, 2019, at Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He is now buried in the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, King County, Washington, USA.
