Joseph T. Espenida is an information technology and engineering professional with expertise in avionics, systems integration, and technical support. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Holy Angel University in 2013 and began his career as a junior web developer before joining the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) as a computer technician. In 2018, he enlisted in the United States Navy and completed advanced avionics training in Pensacola, Florida. During his military service, he worked as an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Technician, maintaining and repairing AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) systems in support of H-60 helicopter operations and Carrier Strike Groups. He later served as an Avionics Technician, performing inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on EA-18G Growler aircraft radar, identification friend or foe (IFF), communications, navigation systems, and AN/ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming Pods in support of naval and joint expeditionary missions. Since February 2022, Espenida has been employed by SAIC as an Engineering Technician IV, where he is responsible for the assembly and integration of signal, information, and display processing systems for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms. He also holds Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Non-Cab Operated Crane Safety, Category 3 certifications earned during his Navy service, reflecting his commitment to technical excellence and continuous professional development.
