Ernesto Giron Edraisa was born on November 8, 1943, in Iba, Zambales, Philippines. He attended Zama American High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and later studied Construction Inspections at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California, where he completed an Associate of Arts in Construction Inspection. He enlisted in the United States Navy in March 1964, serving as an Aviation Jet Engine Mechanic and rising to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (AFCM). During his distinguished naval career, he served in both the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf and received numerous military decorations.
After retiring from the Navy, Edraisa worked with Advance Wealth Technologies, Coldwell Banker Premier, and later as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker West. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as a Fourth Degree member for 32 years and accumulating 33 years of service with the organization. He passed away on May 6, 2017, and is now buried in the Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, San Diego County, California, USA.
