Nelson O. Alix earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Mapúa University, where he studied from 1977 to 1983. He also pursued further education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Laurus College, expanding his expertise in aviation and professional development. Following his graduation, he began a distinguished career in the United States Navy, serving as an Aircraft Maintenance/Production Manager from July 1983 to July 2011, overseeing aircraft maintenance and production operations throughout his nearly 28-year service. After retiring from the Navy, he joined the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in 2012 as a Quality Assurance Specialist, a position he continues to hold, applying his extensive military aviation and maintenance experience to defense quality assurance.
