Joseph Ortigoza Agra III was among the thousands of Filipinos who served in the United States Navy, contributing to the enduring legacy of Filipino naval service. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1972 as a Seaman Recruit and retired with the rank of Commander. He served as the Veterans Affairs Representative for the U.S. Sailors Alliance of the Philippines (USSAP).
