Harold Edward Squibb was born on September 26, 1917. He was the son of Harold Edward Squibb and Margaret Ann Ryan Squibb of Cushing, Oklahoma, U.S.A. He enlisted in the Forestry Corps in June 1940 and completed his training at Valcartier, Quebec, before being posted to Scotland. In April 1942, he transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force and, in July 1943, graduated from navigator-air bomber training at Malton, Ontario. He served in the 166th Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II.
FSgt Squibb died on August 13, 1944. He is now buried in the Hanover War Cemetery, Seelze, Region Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany. He is also commemorated on the Bomber Command Memorial Wall in Nanton, Alberta, Canada.
