William John Douglas was born on October 21, 1921, in Goderich, Huron County, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Dufferin Ducalion Douglas and Norah Eleanor Lowe Gould of St. Petersburg, Florida, U.S.A. He served in the 432nd Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force, as a Pilot Officer during World War II. Plt Off Douglas died on January 21, 1944, in Germany. He is now buried in the Hanover War Cemetery, Seelze, Region Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany. He is also commemorated on the Bomber Command Memorial Wall in Nanton, Alberta, Canada.
