Kanji Yoshida was born on December 4, 1925. He was the son of Iwakichi Yoshida and Take Yoshida. He served in the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Corporal and Light Weapons Infantryman during the Korean War.
Cpl Yoshida was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on May 25, 1951. He was presumed dead on February 18, 1954. He has a memorial in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
