Harry Fumio Takeuchi was born on January 9, 1929. He was the son of Yutaka Takeuchi and Shizu Takeuchi. He served in the Headquarters Battery, 57th Field Artillery Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, as a Corporal and Field Wireman during the Korean War.

Cpl Takeuchi was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy near Hagaru, North Korea, on December 6, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
