Ken Katsuyoshi Kondo was born on October 10, 1924. He served in the 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, as a Private First Class and an Infantry Reconnaissance Scout during the Korean War.

PFC Kondo died from his wounds received in battle on August 12, 1950, during the Battle of Pusan in South Korea. He is now buried in the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA.
