Joaquin S. Santos was born on April 15, 1932, in Guam. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during the Korean War.
PFC Santos died on March 23, 1953, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Agana Cemetery, Hagatna (Agana), Guam. His name is also commemorated on Guam’s Korean War Memorial in Hagåtña.
