Gregorio Blas Salas was born on April 28, 1933, in Guam. He was the son of Vincente M. Salas and Salidad B. Salas. He served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, as a Private during the Korean War.

Pvt Salas was Killed in Action on January 7, 1953, in North Korea. He is now buried in the Agana Cemetery, Hagatna (Agana), Guam. His name is also commemorated on Guam�s Korean War Memorial in Hag�t�a.
