David Scott Robinson was born on April 28, 1985, in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. He was married to Heidi Robinson. He was a graduate of Southside High School and enlisted in the service in 2004. He served as a Specialist (11B10 Infantryman) with C Company, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment (Rakkasans), 101st Air Assault Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, from 2004 to 2008, and later with D Company, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment (Dragoons) in Vilseck, Germany, from 2008 to 2010, and was later deployed to Afghanistan.

Sgt Robinson died on November 20, 2010, in Qalat District, Zabol, Afghanistan, due to a non-combat-related incident during Operation Enduring Freedom. He is now buried in the Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas, USA.
