Wilburn Lewis Page was born on February 12, 1924, in Polk County, Tennessee. He was the son of Zenith Melton and Hattie Mae Page. He enlisted in the service on April 20, 1943. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Sergeant during World War II.

Sgt Page was Killed in Action on August 31, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Département de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
