Lloyd Ross Hudson was born on February 22, 1922, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was the son of Herbert A. Hudson and Mabel Catherine Hetrick Hartzler. He was married to Mildred M. Gootee Hubbard. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II.

Pvt Hudson was Killed in Action on August 27, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Lucas County, Ohio, USA.
