George Paul Grguric was born on February 3, 1924, in Braddock Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Thomas John Grguric and Mildred (Golub) Grguric. He was married to Mary Catherine Gorman. He worked at the Sommerfield Machine Shop before enlisting in the service on March 1, 1943. He had completed grammar school and was sent overseas to the European Theater on March 1, 1944. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.
PFC Grguric was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Département de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
