Anton Joseph Graham was born on March 11, 1920, in Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Richey V. Graham Sr. and Ludmila "Lillian" Cermak Graham. He studied at Brown University before transferring to the University of Illinois, where he graduated in 1942. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a First Lieutenant during World War II.
1Lt Graham was Killed in Action on August 25, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
