Edward Lee Forquer was born on September 2, 1918, in Calumet, Canadian County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Elmer E. Forquer and Agnes N. Swartz Forquer. He enlisted in the service on March 1, 1941. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Sergeant during World War II.

Sgt Forquer was Killed in Action on September 2, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Département de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
