Jack Dale was born on March 29, 1925, in Maysville, Banks County, Georgia. He was the son of Henry Wallace Dale and Leathy Catherine Burch. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II.

Pvt Dale was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, D�partement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
