Thomas Wade Croxton Jr. was born on March 19, 1916, in Carroll County, Kentucky. He was the son of Thomas Wade Croxton and Josephine Saunders. He served in the 121st Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, as a Captain during World War II.

Cpt Croxton was Killed in Action on August 26, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, D�partement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
