Edgar Otho Crockett was born on September 9, 1917, in Dale County, Alabama. He was the son of Walter R. Crockett and Minnie Lee M. Crockett. He served in the 28th Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.
PFC Crockett was Killed in Action on September 3, 1944, during the Battle of Brest, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Département de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
