Henry Huot was born on April 13, 1889, in Keweenaw County, Michigan. He was the son of Louis Arsene "Samuel" Huot and Marie Celina Versaw Huot. He was married to Gertrude Marie Trombley. He served in the 3rd Tunnelling Company, Royal Canadian Engineers, as a Sapper during World War I.
Sapper Huot was Killed in Action on October 26, 1918. He is now buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinge, Arrondissement Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium.
