Frank William Hackett was born on November 18, 1873, in Oxford, Oxford County, Maine. He was the son of John Clark Hackett and Susie Eliza Williams Poland. He was the husband of Emily Hackett. He served in the 7th Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops, as a Sergeant during World War I.
Sgt Hackett died from his wounds received in battle on November 12, 1917. He is now buried in the Dozinghem Military Cemetery, Westvleteren, Arrondissement Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium.
