Donald Clarence Dailey was born on July 9, 1916, in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York. He was the son of Clarence W. Dailey and Queenie Belle Patchin McCarthy. He was married to Frieda Margaret Quencer Mucklewee. He served in the 36th Armored Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Division, as a Private during World War II.
Pvt Dailey was Killed in Action on August 28, 1944, in France. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Departement des Vosges, Lorraine, France.
