Manuel Morales Bassora was born on December 9, 1912, in Puerto Rico. He served in the 1226th Quartermaster Service Group, Aviation, as a Private during World War II.
Pvt Bassora was Killed in Action on September 24, 1944. He lost his life in a tragic accident at Nuthampstead Airbase when he was struck by a truck. He is now buried in the Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial, Coton, South Cambridgeshire District, Cambridgeshire, England. Manuel M. Bassora's name is inscribed on the Anstey Window Memorial in Panel 2 (center), on Butterfly 17, in the bottom right wing (section D).
