Harry Edward Gleason was born on October 18, 1910, in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey. He was the son of John J. Gleason and Annie Gleason.
Harry served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 9, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. PFC Gleason is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
