Kenneth Dodge Dirth was born on March 15, 1921, in West Lebanon, Grafton County, New Hampshire. He was the son of Frederick John Dirth and Catherine Marshall "Kate" Dodge Dirth. He was a Sales Clerk before enlisting in the Army on October 4, 1943.
Kenneth served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 5, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. Sgt Dirth is now buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Loudon, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, US.
