Lynn Brunson Bailey was born on October 26, 1911, in Patch Grove, Grant County, Wisconsin. He was the son of Lee Bronson Bailey and Isa May Moore Bailey. He was married to Ann Andrea Thingstad Crowley.
Lynn served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 3, 1944, during the liberation of Landelles-et-Coupigny, France. Cpl Bailey is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France. He also has a cenotaph in Union Cemetery, Patch Grove, Grant County, Wisconsin, USA.
