Frank J. Tomaszewski was born on June 10, 1921, in Gaastra, Iron County, Michigan. He was the son of Stanislaus "Stanley" Tomaszewski and Stephanie "Sophie" Kronhelm Tomaszewski.

Frank served in the 1st Regiment, First Special Service Force, as a Technician 4th Grade during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 20, 1944, in France. T4 Tomaszewski is now buried in the Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River, Iron County, Michigan, USA.
