Mark E. Blinn was born on June 23, 1916, in Vineland, Cumberland County, New Jersey. He attended Vineland High School and was employed at the Stratton Auto Service shop before he entered the service in 1942.

Mark served in the 5th Signal Company, 5th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. Pfc Blinn died from his wounds received in battle on August 23, 1944, during the liberation of Tousson, France. He is now buried in Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
