Albert T. Jacobsen was born on September 12, 1914, in Paradise, Franklin County, Arkansas. He was the son of Henry Jacobsen and Elizabeth Jacobsen. He was married to Frances DeConnick.
Albert served in Company B, 1st Ranger Battalion, as a Sergeant during World War II. He was one of 50 US Army Rangers who participated with British Commando on the Dieppe raid in 1942. He was captured by the Germans and was a POW until the end of the war at Stalag VII-B. He returned home on May 22, 1945. Sgt Jacobsen died on July 7, 1970, and is now buried in Gardnerville Cemetery, Gardnerville, Douglas County, Nevada, USA.
