Peter Plasity was born on March 11, 1923, in Akron, Summit County, Ohio. He was the son of Michael Plasity and Julia Plasity. He enlisted in the service on December 2, 1942.
Peter served in the 23rd Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division, as a Private during World War II. Pvt Plasity was Killed in Action on August 24, 1944, during the liberation of Cesson, Seine-Port, and Saint-Leu. He is now buried in Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Departement des Vosges, Lorraine, France. He also has a cenotaph in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Medina County, Ohio, USA.
