Michael Joseph Golden Jr. was born on November 26, 1921, in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Michael Joseph Golden Sr. and Annie Sheridan Golden. He was married to Helen Golden.
Michael served in the 305th Engineer Combat Battalion, 80th Infantry Division, as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 10, 1944, during the liberation of Sillé-le-Guillaume, France. Cpl Golden is now buried in the Brittany, American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
