Richard Bellerjeau Lloyd was born on March 23, 1925, in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington. He was the son of George Brearley Lloyd and Elizabeth Wharton Bellerjeau Lloyd. Richard served in the 410th Infantry Regiment, 103rd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. PFC Lloyd was Killed in Action on November 12, 1944, during the liberation of Alsace, France. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Epinal, Departement des Vosges, Lorraine, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
