Robert B. Higbee was born on September 1, 1922. He was the son of Olive Pearl Higbee and Verna Berdella Garner Higbee. He was a graduate of Central High School in 1942. He was employed by Warren’s Grocery for a short time before entering the army in 1942.
Robert served in the 410th Infantry Regiment, 103rd Infantry Division, as a Sergeant during World War II. Sgt Higbee was Killed in Action on January 26, 1945, during the liberation of Alsace, France. He is now buried in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Muskogee County, Oklahoma, USA.
