Orville Hamlin Kingsley was born on February 19, 1920, in Ellis County, Kansas. He was the son of David Clarence Kingsley and Mary Johnson Kingsley. He served in the Medical Detachment, 81st Tank Battalion, 5th Armored Division, as a Technician 5th Grade during World War II. T5 Kingsley was Killed in Action on August 7, 1944, in Maigne, France, during the liberation of Sarthe. He is now buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis, Ellis County, Kansas, USA. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
