John J. Madzelonka was born in 1912 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Madzelonka and Ludmella Madzelonka. He served in the 320th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. PFC Madzelonka was Killed in Action on August 2, 1944, during the liberation of Domjean in France. He is now buried in the Normandy American Cemetery and was awarded the Purple Heart.
