Walter Kado was born on January 28, 1923, in Ohio. He was the son of Antonia Kado and John Kado. He served in the 137th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 2, 1944, during the liberation of Domjean in France. Pvt Kado is now buried in the Normandy American Cemetery and was awarded the Purple Heart.
