Paul Arthur Brown was born on September 28, 1919, in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Arthur Nelson Brown and Estella Rebecca Arters Brown. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 25, 1941.
Paul served in Company C, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. PFC Brown died from his wounds received in battle on June 14, 1944, during the Battle of the Moulin des Rondelles in France. He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on December 9, 1947.
