Libero Marko Rogo was born on June 22, 1912, in Old Forge, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. He served in the 17th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 3, 1944, when his platoon was ambushed by the Germans in the hamlet of Les Rolandi�res, in the town of Dol-de-Bretagne in Brittany, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart and was buried at Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Departement du Calvados, Basse-Normandie, France.
