Hubert L. Kordsmeier was born on January 27, 1920. He was the son of Louis Gerhardt Kordsmeier Sr. and Mary G. Yanker Kordsmeier.
He served in the 873rd Bomber Squadron, 498th Bomber Group, Very Heavy, as a 2nd Lieutenant and pilot of the B-29 Superfortress #44-69747 during World War II. He was Killed in Action on March 10, 1945, when the aircraft made a navigational error and crashed into Mt. Fubo.
