Earl Roaine Rhoads was born on January 7, 1922, in Crescent, Logan County, Oklahoma. He was the son of Shirley Rhoads and Lettie Henning Rhoads Kariker.
He served in Company F, 2nd Battalion, 21st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division as a Gunnery Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1944, during the Battle for Guam.
