He was born on September 10, 1892 in Kilkenny County, Ireland. Private, 165th Infantry, 42nd Division, American Expeditionary Forces, World War I. He was living in Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA, when he enlisted. He was killed in action south of Landres-et-Saint-Georges during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. His body was not recovered from the battlefield. He is also memorialized on the Tablets os the Missing at the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France. A cenotaph remembers him in the Clomantagh Graveyard, Ireland.
