Killed in action in Normandy during World War II. He was the son of Richard Frederic Lowinger and Sally Bondy. ∼ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Son of Richard Frederic Lowinger Sally Bondy. Richard was the son of Frederic Lowinger of Vienna, Austria. He was b. Vienna, Austria; d. 1919, Vienna, Austria. Sally was the daughter of Charles Bondy and Henrietta Lederer of New York City. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Frederic was a Yale graduate, B.A., class of 1931. He moved to England in 1935, and enlisted as a trooper in the Armoured Car Company; then the Royal Tank Corps, February 11, 1942. Commissioned 2nd LT, 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, February, 1943; then promoted to 1st LT.
