Andrew Anthony Swihura was born on January 13, 1922. He was the son of Anthony F. and Mary A. Swihura; stepson of Joseph A. Kiernan, of Babylon, Long Island, New York.
Andrew served in the 207 (R.A.F.) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 21, 1945, when his Lancaster aircraft # PB 295 went down near Bocholt, Germany, during a night raid against Gravenhorst, Germany.
