Warren Henry Ridder was born on November 3, 1920, in New York, New York County, New York. He was the son of John Ridder of Long Island, New York, and Charlotte (nee Bolt) Curry of New York, New York.
Warren enlisted in Ottawa, Ontario on September 3, 1940. He served in the 419 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II. He was declared Missing in Action on September 5, 1942, when his Wellington aircraft failed to return from a raid against Bremen, Germany, presumed enemy action. His body was never recovered.
