Cecil Frederick O'Donnell was born on February 24, 1922, in San Jose, Costa Rica. He was the son of Cecil V. and Nelly Quiros O'Donnell Lindo, of Houston, Texas.
Cecil served in the #431 Iroquois Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flying Officer during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 17, 1944, when his Halifax aircraft #MZ 372 was shot down in the Baltic Sea during a night trip, an attack against Kiel, Germany.
