Ralph Warren Fleming was born in October 1923 in Rockingham County, Virginia. He was the son of Roy Fleming and Pearl Rozine Skelton Fleming.
Ralph served in the 787th Bomber Squadron, 466th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Sergeant and Ball Turret Gunner on the B-24 #42-95084 “Bird Dog” during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 13, 1944, when his aircraft crashed in the village of Tunstall, in the parish of Halvergate, England.
