Donald Joseph Maskill was born on March 9, 1915, in Marion, Marion County, Ohio. He was the son of Robert Joseph Maskill and Lucille Hamilton Maskill.
Donald enlisted in August 1940, receiving his RCAF wings in July 1941. He served as a Sergeant in the 115 RAF Squadron. He was Killed in Action on January 15, 1942, when his Wellington aircraft #Z 1563 crashed at the aerodrome at Marham, England. The casualties of this Wellington accident were-
